Systemic work including family work

Initially, we think about what you would like to be different in your life. Solution-focused therapy works from the position of knowing you have the answers to current difficulties, and I can guide you to this place.  I am listening for moments when things are going well, or how you would like your life to be. 

 

It shifts the attention away from the problem to the solution; by us learning from what is going well in your life – these might be little moments we amplify and build upon. You may not recognise or know this, but you come to therapy with your own solutions it’s my job to help find these and highlight them.

You may come to therapy fearful, worried and unsure about what your future looks like; finding it hard to see things being different.  When I ask you questions these are around you making changes, the exceptions to the difficult moments; offering invitations to think in different way.
